The terms and conditions detailed below apply to all bookings whether made online at www.ebury-hotel.co.uk or made by telephone, or in person, or through a booking agency.
When you make a booking, your contract (which includes these terms and conditions) will be with Ebury Hotel Canterbury. All rates are subject to availability, all bookings are taken at the discretion of Ebury Hotel. The opening times for Ebury Hotel Reservations (01227 768 433 ) are Monday – Friday 8am – 11pm, Saturdays & Sundays (inc. Bank Holidays) 9am – 11pm. Calls may be recorded for training purposes.
You will be asked to guarantee your booking with a debit or credit card including your 3 digit security code. We accept American Express, MasterCard, Maestro, Eurocard Visa & Visa Delta. Payments may also be made via bank transfer, you must ensure that you pay any commission and cleared funds must be in our account prior to arrival. Online reservations will require a £50.00 deposit at the time of booking. Separate terms and conditions apply to online bookings made on our site, these are available as you reserve online.
If pre-payment is not required then payment is due on departure from the hotel, we accept American Express, MasterCard, Maestro, Eurocard Visa & Visa Delta. and payment can also be made in GBP. Payments in GBP must be made upon arrival. On arrival at the hotel, all reservations will require a pre-authorisation with a credit card or cash deposit to cover incidentals during your stay. If you have no reservation full payment will be required upon arrival.

Ordinary bookings are cancellable for a full refund up to 11pm two days prior to arrival. Later cancellations or no-show will be charged at full room rate. There will be no cancellation charge if we subsequently relet the room. We will transfer reservations, and/or deposits if possible.
Cancellation charges can be protected against if you purchase travel insurance, we advise all travellers to protect themselves with travel insurance to ensure peace of mind.
Cancellation by Ebury Hotel Canterbury
Very occasionally, we may have to cancel your booking. We will tell you as soon as possible, and offer you an alternative accommodation of the same standard, or higher, or offer a full refund. We regret we cannot pay compensation or any reimbursement of any expenses or costs you may incur as a result of any such cancellation or change.
Ebury cannot accept responsibility or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of the contract is prevented or affected by reason of circumstances which amount to “force majeure”. Circumstances amounting to “force majeure” include any event which we could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such circumstances include the destruction or damage of your accommodation (which cannot reasonably be remedied to a satisfactory standard before the start of your stay) through fire, flood, explosion, storm or other weather damage, break-in, criminal damage, riots or civil strife, industrial action, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, war or threat of war, actual or threatened terrorist activity, epidemic and all similar situations beyond our control.
All rates quoted are per room per night, are subject to availability and include Value Added Tax & Services. Special rates quoted cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount, offer or promotion.
Children aged 2 and under stay and eat free.
Children aged 2-11 sharing a double/twin guest room with two adults attract a supplement of £15.00.
Designated family rooms are available.
Children under 16 can either eat from the children’s menu, or from the adult menu and pay the adult menu price.
Should you require a cot, please ask at the time of booking.
Breakfast times may vary on bank holidays.
Please contact the hotel with any special dietary requirements.
Car parking is freely available at our hotel. Your room booking does not guarantee a parking space.
Vehicles and contents are left at owners risk.
Our hotel complies with the access requirements of local disability legislation. If you have special requirements please inform us at the time of booking. Please note we do not have ground floor accommodation and there is no lift.
Check in is from 1pm and check out is by 11am.
If you plan to arrive after 11pm, please advise the hotel (01227 768 433). Failure to notify of late arrival may result in loss of access, and our cancellation terms will apply. If you fail to vacate the room by 11am you will be liable for the cost of the equivalent of one nights’ accommodation.
Swimming Pool and Spa facilities may be used without charge during your stay in Canterbury. Towels and access codes are available from Reception. For reasons of health and safety, you should accompany all under 16s at the swimming pool. Under 16s are not allowed in the spa bath. Failure to adhere to the pool rules may result in exclusion from use.
We allow dogs at the hotel, if you intend to bring a dog, we must be made aware at the time of booking, we request that all dogs are kept out of the public rooms, and are not allowed on the hotel beds. Dogs must be quiet and well-behaved.
The hotel is totally smoke free and penalty fees will be applied if you smoke in the hotel. Smoking is permitted in the hotel gardens.
